How can you reduce your carbon footprint?

There are multiple ways to reduce your carbon footprint. Most predominantly, people’s carbon footprint is made up of traveling and moving. Each time you take a flight or drive a car, greenhouse gas emissions are released into the atmosphere. There are ways that you can help neutralize the danger to the planet through something called “carbon offsetting.” Carbon offsetting is a term used when you pay someone to invest your money in programs that help reduce carbon emissions by the same amount you’ve emitted. Reliable carbon off sett companies with proven programs that invests in renewable energy includes Carbonfund (www.carbonfund.org) and Carbon Neutral (https://coolclimate.org).

Why is it necessary that we develop sustainable and responsible tourism?

Traveling allows us to experience other people’s cultures and visit all the beautiful landscapes the world has to offer. At the same time, tourism is responsible for emitting approximately 4.5 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide per year, taking into account travel by air, car, and ship in addition to the construction and maintenance of hotels, industrial foods in hotels and shopping carried out by traveling tourists. This number is an absurd amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. By implementing sustainable and responsible tourism worldwide we can lower these numbers and lower the carbon footprint for tourism worldwide.

How can YOU get into an eco-friendly lifestyle?
